3. Settings for the Waterlase:  “Annapolis Method of Laser Assisted Periodontal Surgery”:  I prefer using the G-6  6mm or C-3 or Z-4  9mm tips or a 6 mm sapphire tapered tip for finer cutting.
   1. Disinfection:      WL  .5 to .75 watts          10% water   11% air Pulsemaster:  60 mj          20 pulse rate
   2. Cutting: WL      1.0 to 1.5 watts    10% water   11%air Pulsemaster:  30 to 40 watts        40 to 90 pulse rate
   3. Root Preparation: hand scaling, ultrasonics, and chemical removal of debris and smear layer.11% air (if you use the Z tip—you must use water) Pulsemaster:  30 to 40 watts          50 pulse rate

18. Anesthetic effect with the Waterlase laser:  .75 watts 11 and 10% air and water-30 seconds over area and bring to spot where the injection goes-if you even need and injection-try it.
